Lynn offers full training for event horses at both Handlen Farm (Middleburg, Virginia) and her base in Ocala, Florida. Preference is given to long-term relationships with the possibility of upper level competition. Lynn is both an excellent horsewoman as well as a fierce competitor who gets top-notch results out of her horses. Every horse in training receives a customized program based on its needs, temperament, experience, and its owner’s goals. She personally supervises all aspects of a horse’s care, including feeding and medical care in consultation with veterinarians and farriers. Each training package is worked out on an individual basis.
Lynn has extensive experience with teaching clinics and camps at locations all around the country. She offers a variety of exercises and formats that can be custom tailored to the group, area, and time of the year.
In addition to her skills as a mounted instructor, Lynn is a charismatic and educated speaker who is excellent at instructing and keeping an audience entertained. She has experience speaking on a wide variety of topics including training, teaching, horse management, grooming, and other related areas. Lynn has given the keynote speech at annual meetings, camps, and other conventions and is regularly asked to participate on panels. Lynn has been an on-air commentator at several top events including the Kentucky Three-Day Event, Carolina International, and Ocala Jockey Club International Three-Day Event.
Lynn focuses on teaching upper level eventers, talented young riders and ambition amateurs. While she specializes in eventing, she also instructs riders in the individual phases of the sport – dressage, show jumping, and cross-country. Lynn is available for ship-in lessons at her facilities on your own horse.
