ABOUT LYNN
Lynn Symansky is one of the top three-day event riders in the world. She has competed at the international level for the last 20 years, and has an accomplished resume which includes representing the United States on seven senior teams— 2011 Guadalajara Pan American Games team gold, 2014 Normandy World Equestrian Games team, 2015 Aachen Nations Cup team bronze, 2016 Rio Olympic Games traveling reserve, 2017 Great Meadow Nations Cup team gold and individual silver, 2018 Tryon World Equestrian Games team, and 2019 Lima Pan American Games team gold and individual silver. In addition to her team appearances, Lynn has completed 12 CCI5* competitions around the world at Kentucky, Badminton, Burghley, and Pau.
Lynn has been fortunate to ride a wide variety of horses, from off-the-track thoroughbreds (OTTBs) to U.S. and European purpose-bred sport horses. She has produced many horses up to the highest levels of the sport, and has the experience and unique instincts to customize an approach to bring out the best in each individual horse and rider. Lynn believes that hard work, communication, a systematic approach, and patience are the keys to bringing out each partner’s full potential.
In addition to her competition career, Lynn also has extensive teaching experience. From Advanced level competitors, to ambitious young riders and passionate amateurs, Lynn’s experience is invaluable to all different levels. She is a highly sought after clinician and speaker, an A rated pony club graduate, and teaches clinics and demos around the country.
Lynn was born and raised in Vienna, Virginia and graduated Cum Laude from Washington & Lee University in 2005 with a BA in business management. She currently trains and operates her business out of Handlen Farm, a beautiful 33 acre facility nestled in the heart of Middleburg, Virginia.
